We are based in Dayton, Ohio, and service the whole Southwest Ohio region.
Meet the Team
My name is Josh Tesmer. Being a Dayton area native, I grew up in Clayton and Germantown, and attended Dayton Christian School. I’ve been caring for exotics since my 7th birthday, when I was gifted a chameleon from my parents. I started Wild Dayton in 2024 because of my love for animals, especially reptiles. My goal is to inspire others to develop the same appreciation, curiosity, and respect for animals that has shaped my own life.
My name is Heaven Allen. I grew up in Germantown and Centerville, and I have been working in early childhood education for the past 7 years. Being a part of Wild Dayton allows me to combine my passion for education and my love for animals. I love getting to capture the wonder and excitement that people experience when they meet the animals.
Meet The Owner
My name is Jadyn Funkhouser. From New Jersey, I moved to Ohio to attend ONU, where I graduated with a bachelor's in environmental science. Along with working at Wild Dayton, I also teach an afterschool program at Adventure Central. In both these positions, I hope to develop and inspire the next generation of scientists.
